Yeoh Capsule safe prechopper 

Specialized version with additional safety feature on the profile of the prechopper blade to protect the capsular bag from accidental tears.

A prechopper designed for soft to hard nucleus, with a rounded and safe portion of the tip profile that prevents any tear/cuts on the capsular bag. Redesigned Combo 4 Prechopper to make it safer for the subincisional CCC whilst maintaining the sharpness and penetrating ability of the Combo 4. Dr. Yeoh worked the Katena/ASICO R&D team on three prototype versions. The final, approved design meets the performance criteria for the safe prechopping of the soft to hard nuclei. The prechopper is able to penetrate and directly prechop up to NS3+ cataracts but with the added safety of not threatening the subincisional CCC margin.
