Denville, NJ – January 1, 2019 – Katena Products, a leading global provider of precision ophthalmic instruments, biologics, and devices to hospitals, surgical centers, and ophthalmic and optometric offices announces the establishment of a direct sales force in the United Kingdom in association with its newly acquired subsidiary, Blink Medical.
A first for Katena outside of the United States, Katena will utilize the previously established Blink Medical sales force, enabling customers to place orders directly with their Blink representative for Katena, Rhein Medical, Blink Medical, Barron, and Rhein Essentials products.
The full range of Katena’s branded products will be warehoused in the Blink facility, shortening delivery times while increasing service capabilities through direct distribution and representation.
Katena’s instruments were previously represented by Spectrum UK. Spectrum’s distribution of Katena instruments ceased December 31, 2018.

All Blink sales representatives will undergo intensive Katena product training to ensure an uninterrupted ability to deliver and support the products.
